Depart Ho Chi Minh City in the morning at 08:00 for the 60-km drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. You’ll travel in luxury and comfort in a Ford Transit limousine that has a capacity of 7 passengers.
Cu Chi district is considered a heroic site for the role it played in the American War. It is legendary for the tunnel system that stretches for over 220 km and is a popular attraction with both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
On this full-day trip, the drive will take you past rural rice paddy landscapes, where ducks and water buffalo swim in the waters at the edge of the road.
With this scenery in view, it’s hard to imagine the destruction and deforestation of the area caused by bombs and mines when Cu Chi was labeled a free target zone.
You’ll see evidence showing that the district was once a battleground. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to fire an AK-47 you can find out at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
