5-Days Vietnam Southern Package Tour

Experience the city of Ho Chi Minh like never before. Take the day to explore the city's history, culture, and traditions as you tour around some of its most famed sites, markets, restaurants, and pagodas. Begin the morning with a convenient hotel pickup at the appointed time, and then make your way to the Reunification Palace. Listen to your guide's interesting historical knowledge about the structure that was formerly the South Vietnamese President's residence prior to the end of the war in 1975.

Then, get the chance to witness French influence through the French colonial architecture of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Following, head over to the War Remnants Museum, where you can see the vast exhibits regarding the American-Vietnamese War.

Midday, stop at a popular local restaurant for an authentic Vietnamese meal with your guide. Next, follow your guide to Chinatown to wonder at the intricate architecture and detail of Thien Hau and Quan Am Pagodas and learn about their spiritual significance.

Finally, end the day with a tour through Ho Chi Minh's largest market, Ben Thanh Market. Wander through the vendor-lined walkways that make up one of the city's oldest surviving structures. Even get the chance to purchase a few unique gifts, such as local crafts, textiles, or other souvenirs before being transported
back to your hotel in the afternoon.

In the morning:

At the appointed time, our tour guide will come and pick you up at your hotel by air-conditioned car/bus and depart from HCM City to My Tho City. A smooth routine drive will take you to pass the green rice fields and then it will lead you to the beautiful rural My Tho City. On the way, we will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda.

Take a morning boat trip on the Tien River to the Qui (Tortoise Islet). On the way, you will view many overwhelming landscapes such as the fishing port, stilt houses, boat-building workshops, the other Dragon Islet, Phoenix Islet and Unicorn Islet. Coming to Ben Tre Province through Bao Dinh Canal, the cruise will be more interesting when you discover “the country of coconut” by seeing a typical agricultural model called “Garden – Pond – Cage”, and enjoying coconut candy mill and the relaxing honey tea. Then the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal – fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut trees and the cool breezes – will become your unforgettable memories. You will have lunch with traditional Vietnamese foods of Southern Vietnam right in the heart of the orchard garden.

In the afternoon:

After lunch, we will experience a wonderful atmosphere when walking into the village, visiting fruit garden, enjoying the tropical fruits with “Southern Vietnamese Folk Music” performed by the islanders. This is a great opportunity for you to join the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the peacefulness
of this beautiful natural countryside. Your expectations and satisfactions will be fulfilled by final boat trip back to My Tho on the Tan Thach Natural Canal. We will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the morning:

At 08.30, the tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and depart for Tay Ninh by car/bus. Upon arrival in Tay Ninh, we will visit the Great Temple of Caodaism. The temple is about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City. It is built on nine levels that represent nine steps to heaven; you will see a prayer session at noon.

Cao Dai is a Vietnamese Religion with its philosophy based on Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Christianity. Its belief includes believing in one God, the existence of the sould and the ability to communicate with the spiritual world.

In the afternoon:

After the visit to Cao Dai, you have lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will return to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, we will stop to visit Cu Chi Tunnels for 2 hours. Cu Chi Tunnels are an impressive network of tunnels with a length of over 250 km. This strategic place was used by 15,000 Viet Cong fighters during the war. You will be amazed at the tunnels with their underground storeys including trap-door, living areas, storage, weapon factories, field hospitals, kitchen, command centers, etc... you also have a chance to try firing M-16, AK-47 and carbine rifle at the National Defense Sports Shooting Range.

At 18.00, our trip ends after your dinner at a local restaurant and we transfer you back to your hotel.
