Da Lat - The Most Crowded Tourist Hotspot During Reunification Day Holiday

This year, Vietnamese will enjoy a five-day break as the Hung Kings anniversary celebration falls on April 29, which is a Saturday, and people are entitled to take two extra days off the following week to compensate for that and the Reunification Day on Sunday.

Travel agency Booking.com says that the Central Highlands town of Da Lat is expected to become the most popular tourist hotspot during the upcoming Reunification Day (April 30) and Labor Day (May 1) holidays.

The second position for this story is Da Nang beach city in central Vietnam, followed by beach resort towns Nha Trang and Vung Tau.

The rest of the list included Phu Quoc, Hue, Hoi An, Ha Long, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, based on an analysis of check-in dates between April 28 and May 7.

Though Da Lat is famous for its French colonial heritage and year-round cool climate in a tropical country, it is not very popular with foreign visitors due to limited transport and tourism services. Hidden away in the Central Highlands, Da Lat plays the cooler cousin to Vietnam's seaside destinations. Famous for its countryside charm, Da Lat draws couples, wellness seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. This mountain resort town was once a summer getaway for the French, who left their mark in the European-inspired architecture and countless lakes. Da Lat's main lake is the centre of the action, but amazing natural wonders await in the hills all around.
