Your first day in Da Nang – Hoi An Ancient Town

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Da Nang by our friendly local guide from Vietnam Travel Group and begin a city sightseeing tour.

Firstly, we will visit the Cham Museum - the world's foremost collection of sculpture of the ancient Kingdom of Champa. After seeing this sight, we continue to the Da Nang Beach and the five sacred hills known as the Marble Mountains containing dozens of Buddhist shrines where you will get a panoramic view of the whole city of Da Nang.

In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel and then begin a tour of Hoi An Ancient Town, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. It is famous for Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tan Ky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda and the bustling market.

Hoi An is a town oozing charm and history, having largely escaped the destruction of successive wars. The architecture of Hoi An, which is almost entirely of wood, is of considerable interest.
